A downloadable project

A Future Perfect is a slow-paced, first-person exploratory sci-fi game set on a vast rotating space station with its own half-forgotten past.

Picture it: You are alone in total darkness. Well, kinda. That doesn't matter, really, because you feel alone. And it's not dark for that long... Anyway, you wake up [alone] with no memory. What a mystery! Wherever you are is quite big and pretty confusing. An ever-present thrum. Corridors that lead to more corridors? Where's all this water coming from?? Forgotten. But...beautiful. There's a quiet peace. A thoughtful loneliness - not sad, not even longing, just a calm stillness. But uh...you probably want to try to figure out who the hell you are- or were? Or maybe where?? I mean, do what you want; there's no one around to stop you...right?

  • This game is about slow exploration. You've got the space station seemingly to yourself. Take your time. Poke around.
  • There is no combat. No guns. Nope. Not that kinda game.
  • I hope to make the game I've always wanted to play: one that rewards curiosity, encourages introspection, sits with existentialism and boldly shakes its hand...but also isn't self-serious. Thinky, but in a silly way.

What to expect from me: I plan to post every 1-2 weeks. I'll post my favorite ideas, my terrible ideas, experiments, failures, successes, and general devlog stuff as I go along. This is my first ever game and I don't have any experience, so I will be learning and breaking things as I go. It will sometimes be interesting, often be frustrating, and hopefully always be entertaining, thoughtful, and weird. Thanks for peepin!
